Trials & Drills

How it works

  1. Trials will be conducted across five Malaysia states: Pulau Penang, Sarawak, Kelantan, Johor Bahru & Kuala Lumpur.
  2. All of the trials will be held over weekend (Saturday and Sunday at 7:30am – 1:00pm) in each aforementioned state. In addition for Kelantan and Johor Bahru, the weekend holiday is on (Friday and Saturday at 7:30am – 1:00pm).
  3. After the registration, all the successful applicants will be assigned into one group, based on aged 11 – 16 years old.
  4. These groups will then be further broken down based on playing position and then allocated in to slots for their trials, the time and day of which will be emailed to each successful applicant before the event.
  5. Each time slot will consist of hundred (100) contestants per slot in their respective age bracket.
  6. Each time slot will run for an hour with groups being trialed over this period.
  7. The trial will consist of four (4) separate drills and one match simulation.
  8. Each drill will be ten (10) minutes long and consist of twenty (20) contestants per drill.
  9. Upon entering the match simulation each group of twenty (20) will be split in to two groups of 10.
  10. One group of ten (10) people will then play a ten (10) minute of five (5) versus five (5) match, followed by the second group – this format allows a rest period for the contestants.
  11. Separate goalkeeper drills will be set up to run concurrently where need be.
  12. Each drill will be monitored by a professional coach who will be assessing each group.
  13. Ex Liverpool F.C Captain & England International Steve McMahon will be the Head Coach and will oversee all drills and match simulations throughout each trial day.
  14. Successful applicants will be judged on, skill, technique intelligence and attitude.
  15. There will be two (2) winners chosen from each state and notification will be sent to each winner within five (5) working days of each trial.
  16. The announcement of winners from each state will be made on the official website and on Facebook. Winners will be officially notified by e-mail after the announcement is made.
  17. Here, the winners from each state will compete in the grand finals on the 5th November 2017 where two overall winners will be crowned winners of the Million Dollar Feet™ search.
  18. The two grand final winners will then be flown to the U.K for trails & dates to be announced on our official page.
  19. The trip to the UK will last for 7 days and include culminate in the final Million Dollar Feet™ Trial match.
  20. The trial match will consist of the two winning players being subject to a trial match where invited scouts from the English Premier League and English Championship will judge the finalists in hopes of securing a professional footballing contract.
